Description and Rationale
I am a student researcher at the University of Westminster working on an aviation project focused on airport catchment areas, accessibility, and data-driven analysis. My experience includes Python, statistical analysis, geospatial data, and the development of reproducible analytical pipelines using open datasets.
I decided to participate in the PRC Data Challenge because it is an opportunity to apply these skills to a real operational aviation problem and expand my experience in predictive modelling. I am particularly interested in understanding how airport infrastructure, traffic demand, runway operations, aircraft characteristics, and temporal patterns affect taxi-out time.
My goal is to develop an accurate, transparent, and reproducible open-source solution that contributes useful insights to the aviation community while strengthening my practical experience with large-scale operational flight data.
