Description and Rationale
I am a PhD student conducting research on deep learning-based aircraft trajectory prediction and data-driven methods for aviation applications. My research focuses on using advanced deep learning models to better understand and predict aircraft motion from real-world flight data.
I decided to participate in the PRC Data Challenge because taxi-out time prediction is a challenging and practically important problem that connects closely with my research interests in aviation data analytics and prediction. The challenge provides a valuable opportunity to apply modern machine learning and deep learning methods to real operational data, explore the factors affecting airport surface operations, and evaluate these methods in a rigorous and competitive setting.
I also hope to learn from the wider aviation research community and contribute reproducible and useful methodologies that may help improve the efficiency and sustainability of air traffic operations.
