Description and Rationale
Data scientist and statistician by background, working mainly with time series and applied modelling. Taxi-out prediction appeals to me because it’s a well-defined regression problem sitting on top of a domain I’m not familiar with - the queueing and airport-operations side is entirely new to me, and I learn fastest by building something against a real dataset and a real leaderboard.
