Description and Rationale

I am a data engineer based in Vilnius, Lithuania, registering as an independent participant. My day to day work is building data pipelines and working with APIs over large operational datasets, and I hold a degree in IT.

I registered because taxi-out time is the kind of problem I like working on: a clearly defined regression target on real operational data, with enough structure in the movement records, and in the open weather and flow management data the challenge allows, that the modelling choices actually matter. Most public datasets available to practise on are either toy sized or long since solved. This one is neither, and it is scored on a held out period rather than a random split, which makes the evaluation honest.

I intend to publish my code and documentation in a public repository whatever my final placing, and to write up the method if the result turns out to be worth reading.
